Practices
Our teams will practice at the RISE twice a week beginning in mid November. Practices will be held on Monday and Thursday nights between 6:00 and 9:00. These training sessions are the cornerstones of our teams’ and players’ success and are mandatory. Parents are always welcome to observe our practices from the elevated bleachers.
Tournaments
We will compete in approximately two tournaments a month, beginning in December and continuing through the end of April. The location and duration of the tournaments will be dependent on the individual team and its competitive and developmental goals. Our coaches will attempt to give all our players opportunities to compete and help their teams on the court. Equal playing time is not guaranteed. Many factors impact playing time, including: ability, practice, attitude, personnel, and level of competition.
Tryouts
12 and 13 under tryouts will be held on Saturday, October 27 from 6:00 – 8:00p.There will be a make-up tryout on Sunday, October 28 from 2:00 – 4:00p.
13 and under tryouts will be held on Sunday, November 4 from 7:00 – 9:00p.
14 and 15 and under tryouts will be held on Saturday, November 3rd from 2:00 – 4:00p. There will be a make-up tryout on Sunday, November 4th from 2:00 – 4:00p.
16, 17, and 18 and under tryouts will be held on Saturday, November 10th from 2:00 – 4:00p. There will be a make-up tryout on Sunday, November 11th from 2:00 – 4:00p.
As of 2007, all players must register with the USVBA prior to trying out for any club team. There is a $45 annual registration fee. Players can register online at the North Texas Volleyball Region website (www.ntrvolleyball.org). Players should bring their registration verification number to tryouts with them. There is a $30 nonrefundable tryout fee.
Teams
We will field as many teams as our facilities and coaching staff can accommodate. The IVC will never sponsor a team for which we cannot provide adequate training time, facilities, and instruction.
Fees
12, 13, and 14 and under teams - $1500
15, 16, 17, and 18 and under teams - $2200
Fees may be paid up front with cash, check, or credit card, or a payment schedule will be offered to spread the cost over the course of the season.
Fees include all uniforms, equipment, tournament entry fees, coaches’ salaries, gym usage, administrative fees, and coaches’ hotel/travel expenses (if applicable).
Fees do not include any travel expenses or hotel costs.
Any and all fees are nonrefundable.
Uniforms and Equipment
Each player will be fitted for and outfitted with:
2 Mizuno uniform tops
2 pairs of compression shorts
2 practice shirts
1 team warm-up suit (jacket and pants)
1 individually embroidered team bag
Age Level Determination
The USVBA age breakdown is as follows:
18 and under division: Born on or after September 1, 1989
17 and under division: Born on or after September 1, 1990
16 and under division: Born on or after September 1, 1991
15 and under division: Born on or after September 1, 1992
14 and under division: Born on or after September 1, 1993
13 and under division: Born on or after September 1, 1994
12 and under division: Born on or after September 1, 1995
Players may play in an age division that is above their specified status.
