Travis Ferguson

Head Coach – Travis Ferguson

Travis Ferguson founded Impact and serves as its Club Director. As a starting setter, Travis led his High School team to three district championships, two state championships, and one state runner-up. He was named district MVP twice and earned the State Player of the Year Award in 1992. He continued setting at UC San Diego before transferring to Cal State Northridge, where he started as the setter of the 4th ranked team in NCAA Division 1. Upon graduating from CSUN Travis started teaching at his high school alma mater where he had been coaching volleyball since 1993. Travis was the head coach of the girls program there from 1998-2003 and head coach of the boys from 2001-2006, before moving to Texas. He coached multiple district championship teams, and his girl’s team took the state championship in 1998. Travis’ former players have gone on to receive scholarships in many Division 1 programs including UCLA, USC, Syracuse, UCSB, Cal State Northridge, Pepperdine, BYU and Cal Berkley. His players have achieved recognition both as NCAA Division 1 champions and internationally as professional volleyball players.
Deedee Toler

Asst. Coach – Deedee Toler

Deanna Toller is entering her 3rd year at Impact. She has been teaching and coaching volleyball for 20 years. Deanna started out assisting a volleyball program in Mexia, Texas and moved on to be the head coach at Robinson High School. In 1996 the Waco Tribune named Deanna the Cen-Tex Coach of the Year. She has coached numerous All State players, Academic all state players, and Cen-Tex players.
Nicholas Gay

Asst. Coach – Nicholas Gay

Nick Gay is entering his 3rd year with Impact. Nick played volleyball at Texas-Tech as a libero and switched to setter his junior/senior year where he was named 2nd team All Big 12 Setter. Nick has been coaching club volleyball for the past 6 years and just finished his first year as Head Coach at 3A Graham High School.

Makesha Maupin

Head Coach – Makesha Maupin

Makesha Maupin is entering her first year coaching at Impact. In Amarillo, Makesha established a girls volleyball program at the newly opened Bushland High School and served as the Varsity Head Coach. Her teams won 4 straight district championships from 2005-2009 and appeared in the Texas State Volleyball Class 2A tournament 3 times, winning the state championship in 2007 and 2008. Makesha was named both the Texas Girls Coaches Association and the Texas Sports Writers Coach of the Year in 2008 and served as the TGCA Volleyball All-Star team coach in 2009. As a player, Makesha was a member of the ’96 & ’97 4A Texas State Championship teams at Hereford High School. Upon graduating, she attended Texas Tech University and received a BS degree in Exercise & Sports Science.
Alyssa Naylor

Asst. Coach – Alyssa Naylor

Alyssa Naylor is entering her second year at Impact. She was a tri-athlete at Cleburne High School and upon graduating played volleyball for the Baylor University Club team. In 2006, Alyssa graduated from Baylor with a BS degree in Health & Fitness. Since then, she began coaching volleyball at Wylie East High School where she is now entering her third year.

Kimbra Baker

Head Coach – Kimbra Baker

Kimbra Baker is entering her first year at Impact. After playing volleyball in high school she attended Oklahoma State University where she began coaching at a local junior high and club program. Kimbra coached Stillwater JHS to four undefeated seasons, finishing her tenure with a record of 33-0. She served as the Assistant Club Director and 13s Head Coach at Stillwater Volleyball Club. Upon graduating she returned to Texas and is currently the Head Coach of Wylie High School’s freshman team.
Katelyn Parsons

Asst. Coach – Katelyn Parsons

Katelyn Parsons is entering her first year coaching at Impact. Katelyn set for the Tyler Junior Club teams during Junior High and High School. Success at that position led her to sign with Lyon College in Batesville, Arkansas after graduating in 2007. Back in Texas, she is currently majoring in Business Administration at Texas A&M Commerce.

Trent Tharp

Head Coach – Trent Tharp

Trent Tharp is entering his second year at Impact. While coaching the varsity program at Royse City High School he led his team to the 3A Regional Finals in 2007. Prior to that Trent coached junior high in Mesquite, TX and junior varsity at JJ Pearce in Richardson. He has been coaching USVBA Club Volleyball for the last six years. Trent graduated from West Mesquite High School in 1989, Texas A&M – Commerce in 2000 with a B.S. in Interdisciplinary Studies, and TWU with a Masters in Kinesiology. He is currently a special-ed math teacher in the Mesquite ISD.
Katie Pleasant

Asst. Coach – Katie Pleasant

Katie Pleasant is entering her first year at Impact. She was a three-year starter at Crandall High School and walked onto her college team at East Baptist as a sophomore. During her collegiate career she was named 1st team All Conference three times and won Player of the Year twice. In addition to coaching volleyball Katie teaches Math and Science for CISD.

Cherise Nichols

Head Coach – Cherise Nichols

Cherise Nichols is entering her first year coaching at Impact. She played on many club teams and for Rockwall High School as a middle blocker. As a junior at Rockwall she was chosen for the Honorable Mention team in the district. As a senior she made the 2nd Team All-District and received the Most Valuable Player award at Rockwall High School. She declined volleyball scholarship offers to both Northwestern State and Austin College in order to attend SMU. In 2004, Cherise graduated in three years from SMU with a BA degree majoring in Psychology with a minor in Business. Since then, she has coached volleyball and taught English in Mesquite and Royse City. In addition to coaching Cherise is currently pursuing her master’s degree at UNT in Library Science.
Kaley Hoover

Sarah Amidon

Head Coach – Sarah Amidon

Sarah Amidon is entering her second year with Impact. As a player, Sarah started all four years as a middle hitter for her Varsity team in Michigan. Her club team won Bronze Medals in ’01 and ’02 at the annual Junior Olympic National Championship tournament. That experience won her a scholarship playing for Indiana State University as a Right Side hitter. Sarah has been given coaching opportunities since she was a player at various camps and skills clinics. After graduating from ISU, she was the Graduate Assistant coach for the Western Illinois volleyball program and has coached club volleyball in Indiana, Minnesota & Texas.
Tina Steinkruger

Asst. Coach – Christina Steinkruger

Christina Steinkruger is entering her first year coaching at Impact. She attends Dallas Baptist University where she plays opposite/setter for the Lady Patriots volleyball program. In her youth, Christina played club and high school volleyball near her hometown just outside Amarillo, Texas. During her four-year tenure on varsity, Christina led her team to two consecutive 2-AA State Championships. In both runs she won Tournament and League MVP awards.

Lynsey Coleman

Head Coach – Lynsey Coleman

Lynsey Coleman is entering her first year with Impact. In college she Set for Oklahoma A&M before transferring to Oklahoma State University. While in Stillwater she coached for the local junior high school and at Stillwater Volleyball Club for two years. Lynsey spent the ’08 season as the Head Coach for South Hills High School in Ft. Worth and is currently coaching Volleyball and basketball at Wylie High School.
Nicole Cadenhead

Asst. Coach – Nicole Cadenhead

Nicole Cadenhead is entering her first year at Impact. In her youth she attended Rockwall Christian Academy and played Volleyball from 7th – 12th grade. After graduating high school, Nicole accepted an offer to play volleyball for Paris Junior College. After playing for two years, she accepted an offer to coach Varsity and Junior Varsity at her alma mater.

Aimee Hamsher

Head Coach – Aimee Hamsher

Aimee Hamsher is entering her second year at Impact. She played volleyball for two years at Tomball Junior College and went on to graduate from Southwest Texas State University in 2000. Aimee is presently the Head Volleyball Coach at Crandall High School and has coached volleyball programs in Mesquite ISD and Wylie ISD. She has been coaching USAV Club Volleyball for 6 years and is entering her 8th year coaching high school sports.
Brittany Martin

Asst. Coach – Brittany Martin

Brittany Martin is entering her second year at Impact. She was a three year starting middle blocker at Garland Christian Academy where she earned all district honors her junior and senior year. After graduating high school, Brittany attended Ouachita but decided not to play collegiate volleyball. After finishing her undergraduate work at Ouachita, she earned a Master of Science degree in Clinical Nutrition from the University of Memphis. Brittany is currently married and works as a Life Skills teacher at Celia Hayes Elementary School in Rockwall, TX.

Maggie Younger

Head Coach – Maggie Younger

Maggie Younger is entering her second year at Impact and her fifth year as the head volleyball coach at Rockwall-Heath High School. Maggie received High School honors in volleyball, basketball, softball, and track. Upon graduating she attended Collin County Community College on a full volleyball scholarship where she received Honorable Mention All-American. After which, she accepted a full scholarship to play Division 1 at Northwestern Louisiana State University. Along with high school and college coaching experience, Maggie has been actively involved in the North Texas Region as a coach and mentor for the past 11 years.
Stephanie Shaw

Asst. Coach – Stephanie Shaw

Stephanie Shaw is entering her first year at Impact. A recent graduate of Rockwall High School, Stephanie played Volleyball all four years and was a Varsity Outside Hitter for two seasons. She currently attends Eastfield College.

Damon Wilson

Head Coach – Damon Wilson

Damon Wilson is entering his first year with Impact. Damon is currently the Head Coach at Rockwall High School. Prior to becoming a Yellow Jacket, Damon was the Head Coach at Howard Payne University for 4 years, followed by a 4 year tenure at Div. 2 University Tarleton. He also was the Head Coach at Crandall High School for three seasons spanning from ’05-07.
Gabe Mills

Asst. Coach – Gabe Mills

Gabe Mills is entering his first year coaching at Impact. Gabe began coaching volleyball at Rockwall Christian Academy as an Assistant Varsity Coach, Head Junior Varsity Coach and Head Coach for both Junior High teams. This past season Gabe started coaching St. Marks School of Texas Junior Varsity “Rookies”, where he will resume this upcoming season. He is studying to become a teacher at the University of North Texas in Denton. Gabe brings high energy and a positive attitude to Impact as an assistant to Coach Wilson.

Floater Coaches

Terri Riley

Terri Riley

Terri Riley is entering her first year with Impact. She brings with her a passion for the game as well as 15 years coaching experience. Terri has been coaching in Amarillo, TX where she has taken her team to the playoffs 5 times and to the district championship twice. She graduated from East Central University in Ada, OK with a Bachelor of Science in Health, Physical Education and Recreation. In addition to coaching volleyball Terri teaches physical education in Terrell ISD.
Richard Chang

Richard Chang

Richard Chang is entering his first year at Impact. Richard played under current Club Director Travis Ferguson at Royal High School and spent 3 seasons setting for Classic Volleyball Club. Before moving to Texas, he coached Varsity Boys Volleyball at Beverly Hills High School and spent a season as Head Coach for a 17s team with Offshore Waves, a boy’s volleyball club based out of Santa Monica.
