Head Coach – Makesha Maupin

Makesha Maupin is entering her first year coaching at Impact. In Amarillo, Makesha established a girls volleyball program at the newly opened Bushland High School and served as the Varsity Head Coach. Her teams won 4 straight district championships from 2005-2009 and appeared in the Texas State Volleyball Class 2A tournament 3 times, winning the state championship in 2007 and 2008. Makesha was named both the Texas Girls Coaches Association and the Texas Sports Writers Coach of the Year in 2008 and served as the TGCA Volleyball All-Star team coach in 2009. As a player, Makesha was a member of the ’96 & ’97 4A Texas State Championship teams at Hereford High School. Upon graduating, she attended Texas Tech University and received a BS degree in Exercise & Sports Science. |
