Impact Volleyball Operating Standards
HighLine Teams:
1. Playing time is not guaranteed.
2. The goal is to win every tournament entered.
3. Practices are mandatory: An unexcused absence will result in loss of playing
time.
4. Punctuality is essential and being late to practice is unacceptable. – Unexcused
lateness will result in loss of playing time.
5. Each team will stay together on road trips with the only exception being the U13
team. The U13 team will room with their parents or approved guardian.
6. Coaches will determine the schedule for each tournament: Practices, Non Game
Time during the tournament, Eating Schedules and Curfew.
7. Airline reservations & tickets for out of town qualifiers must be made
individually. Impact will not be making airline reservations for players. Impact
will reserve tickets for coaches and will announce the flight information in
advance so parents can choose to reserve on the same flight.

Impact Volleyball Code of Conduct
Player and Coach Guidelines:
1. Every player is encouraged to communicate openly with her respective coach.
2. A coach will not discuss playing time decisions with an athlete’s parent while at a
tournament. Coaches will be happy to conference with parents during scheduled
meetings before or after practice.
3. If a player has a complaint, i.e., mismanagement, behavioral issue, or mistreatment on
the part of her coach, the issue should be brought directly to the club director Travis
Ferguson.
4. If a player or parent is rude, invokes aggression, is disrespectful or becomes unruly,
Impact Volleyball will handle the situation immediately and confidentially.
Role of Coaches:
1. Teach the fundamentals of the game to assist in personal growth of players and
competitive growth of team.
2. Serve as a positive role model and mentor.
3. Treat players respectfully and fairly.
4. Coach to win as a team
Role of Players:
1. Make a commitment to be a great teammate at all times.
2. Respect the coach of your teams desire to coach and lead your team with great attitude.
3. Make a commitment to work hard, play hard and maintain a positive attitude at all
times.
4. Place the team goals before personal goals.
5. Strive to earn and maintain a starting position on your team.
6. Accept your current role with a positive attitude.
7. Communicate with your coach objectively if you don’t understand your role or how you
are being utilized on your team.
8. Communicate with your coach if you know there is a scheduling conflict in advance.
9. Contact your coach immediately if you are going to miss practice due to illness.
10. Attend all practices, even if you are injured.
Role of Parents:
1. Support your daughter and your daughter’s team.
2. Avoid discussing your daughter’s role or her coach’s decisions during game time.
3. If you question your respective coaches decision(s), discuss the issue with your coach
during a scheduled meeting before or after practice first. If the issue is still not
resolved, please bring the issue to the Club Director’s attention.
Note: If a parent feels the coach is being verbally abusive or disrespectful to their
respective student athlete, the concerned parent is to meet with the Club Director
immediately for the situation to be managed effectively and immediately.
4. Encourage your daughter to approach her coach if she is unhappy or dissatisfied.
5. Make all fee payments on time. Late payments will result in a $50 penalty fee and
temporary suspension of your daughters playing time until the team fee is paid.
6. Notify coach of any scheduling conflicts well in advance.
7. Support your respective team with enthusiasm and cheer like crazy.
Practice Schedule:
1. Team Practices begin for all teams the week of Monday, November 28th.
2. Most team practices will be held on Monday and Thursday nights at the RISE in
Rockwall. All teams will practice two nights a week. Additional practice days and times
will be made available as necessary. We try to have our U12, U13, and U14 teams
practice from 5-7 or 6-8 while our high school aged teams practice from 7-9 or 8-10.
3. Sunday Positional Practices: Every Non-Tournament Weekend. Attendance at positional
practices will be mandatory for HighLine players and optional for Classic players. There
is no additional charge for positional practices.
