Impact Volleyball Operating Standards

    HighLine Teams:

  1. The goal is to win every tournament entered.
  2. Practices are mandatory: An unexcused absence will result in loss of playing time.
  3. Punctuality is essential and being late to practice is unacceptable. – Unexcused lateness will result in loss of playing time.
  4. Each team will stay together on road trips with the only exception being the U13 team. The U13 team will room with their parents or approved guardian.
  5. Coaches will determine the schedule for each tournament: Practices, Non Game Time during the tournament, Eating schedules and Curfew.
  6. Airline reservations & tickets for the Big South Qualifier in Atlanta, GA will be made for the coaches and players.
  7. Players will be at tournament site one-hour prior to game time.
  8. Playing time is not guaranteed.
    Classic Teams:

  1. The goal is to win every tournament.
  2. Practices are mandatory: An unexcused absence will result in loss of playing time.

  4. Equal playing time is not gauranteed.

USA VOLLEYBALL JUNIOR OLYMPIC AGE DEFINITION

For use during the 2009-2010 Season
 
18 and Under Division:
Players who were born on or after September 1, 1991 or
Players who were born on or after September 1, 1990 and a high school student in the twelfth
(12th) grade or below during some part of the current academic year
 
17 and Under Division:
Players who were born on or after September 1, 1992
 

16 and Under Division:
Players who were born on or after September 1, 1993
 
15 and Under Division:
Players who were born on or after September 1, 1994
 
14 and Under Division:
Players who were born on or after September 1, 1995
 
13 and Under Division:
Players who were born on or after September 1, 1996
 
12 and Under Division:
Players who were born on or after September 1, 1997
 
 

TRYOUT PROCEDURES

 

Tryouts

 
The cost of Impact Volleyball tryouts is $50.
 
12-and-under tryouts will be held on October 31 and November 1.
13-and-under tryouts will be held on October 31 and November 1.
14-and-under tryouts will be held on November 7 and 8.
15-and-under tryouts will be held on November 7 and 8.
16-and-under tryouts will be held on November 14 and 15.
17-and-under tryouts will be held on November 14 and 15.
 
All players must be registered with the USAVB prior to tryouts for any club team in the North Texas Region. You can access online registration at theNTR website
 
While it is not required to attend both days of tryouts, we strongly suggest being present on both days to give yourself the best opportunity to make a team by allowing our coaching staff the maximum amount of time to assess your ability.
 
Notification
You may be offered a position on one of our teams at the conclusion of either tryout date. We may also contact you after tryouts to offer you a position on one of our teams.
 
Acceptance of team invitation
According to the USVBA guidelines, you have until noon on the Wednesday following tryouts to accept an offer made by Impact Volleyball Club. To commit to Impact Volleyball Club you will need to sign the “North Texas Region Offer and Acceptance Agreement” and make your initial fee payment. This payment can be for the entire club dues or the initial installment. Once you sign this form and make this initial payment you are committed to the team for the 2009/2010 club volleyball season.
 
 

Impact Volleyball Code of Conduct

 

    Player and Coach Guidelines:
     

  1. Every player is encouraged to communicate openly with her respective coach.
  2. A Coach will not discuss playing time decisions with an athlete’s parent.
  3. If a player has a complaint, i.e., mismanagement, behavioral issue, or mistreatment on the part of her coach, the player is to inform her parent who in return will contact the Director of the Parent Team Board for review and effective management of the situation.
  4. If a player or parent is rude, invokes aggression, is disrespectful or becomes unruly, the Parent Team Board will handle the situation immediately and confidentially.
    Role of Coaches:
     

  1. Teach the fundamentals of the game to assist in personal growth of players and competitive growth of team.
  2. Serve as a positive role model and mentor.
  3. Treat players respectfully and fairly.
  4. Coach to win as a team
    Role of Players:
     

  1. Make a commitment to be a great teammate at all times.
  2. Respect yourself, your teammates, and your coach.
  3. Make a commitment to work hard, play hard and maintain a positive attitude at all times.
  4. Place the team goals before personal goals.
  5. Strive to earn and maintain a starting position on your team.
  6. Accept your current role with a positive attitude.
  7. Communicate with your coach objectively if you don’t understand your role or how you are being utilized on your team.
  8. Communicate with your coach if you know there is a scheduling conflict in advance.
  9. Contact your coach immediately if you are going to miss practice due to illness.
  10. Attend all practices; even if you are injured.
    Role of Parents:
     

  1. Support your daughter and your daughter’s team.
  2. Avoid discussing your daughter’s role or her coach’s decisions during game time.
  3. If you question your respective coach’s decision(s), discuss the issue with your “Parent
    Team Board Member Representative” first, and if not satisfied, discuss the issue with the
    “Director of the Parent Team Board,” second. If you are not satisfied with the outcome, a facilitation session will be set up with you and the coach with a member of the “Parent Team Board” facilitating the session.
    Note: If a parent feels the coach is being verbally abusive or disrespectful to their respective student athlete, the concerned parent is to meet with the Director of the Parent Team Board immediately after the practice/game for the situation to be managed
    effectively and immediately.
  4. Encourage your daughter to approach her coach if she is unhappy or dissatisfied.
  5. Make all fee payments on time. Late payments will result in a $50 penalty fee and temporary suspension of your daughters playing time until the team fee is paid.
  6. Notify coach of any scheduling conflicts well in advance.
  7. Support your respective team with enthusiasm and cheer like crazy.
